The search was carried out at about 1:30pm today, Saturday, however, nothing incriminating has been found.

The security personnel involved in the search said they were searching for ‘terrorists’.

“A student hostel and the house of Amarjit Chakma have been searched.” a villager who wished not to be named for security concerns told

‘There was none in the hostel at the time of the search’, he added.

Some Hill Students’ Council members, who study in various schools in Guimara, also stay in the hostel.

A UPDF leader said the search was aimed at intimidating the members of his party and its associated organizations and their supporters as the party’s 14th founding anniversary nears.
