Jumma woman killed after rape in Roangchari!

THE police in Bandarban recovered the dead body of Ms Upru Marma, 20, from a jungle in Bengchari area under Roangchari Upazila today.
The police believe that she might have been killed after rape.
The villagers caught the suspected rapist, Bijoy Tanchangya — son of Rashad Tanchangya – and handed him over to the police.
The deceased, daughter of Mongkyo Hla Marma of Aungjai Para village, was a teacher of Ananda School.
Roangchari Upazila chairman, Kyaba Maung Marma said that Upru Marma had come to Roangchari bazaar on Friday. “She was raped and killed while she was on her way back from bazaar in the evening.”
He added that Bijoy Tanchangya has on his body a number of cut marks as well as marks left by the victim’s finger nails.
Abdul Sattar, the Officer-in-charge of Roangchari police station, confirmed the incident and added that the body of the victim had been sent to Bandarban hospital for autopsy.
He said a case was filed on charges of rape and murder.
