A SCHOOL teacher, Milon Bikash Chakma alias Bindu, was
hacked to death by unknown assailants in west Kiang-ghat village under
Mahalchari Upazila.
The 55-year-old was killed on Wednesday night (11
march) while he was asleep in his house.
The unidentified attackers broke into the house and
chopped him to death.
His wife, Birolata Chakma, was also injured in the
attack.
The villagers rescued her and admitted her to
Khagrachari Sadar hospital.
Locals suspect that the Bengali settlers might have
killed him over a land dispute.
