THE ARMY
on Wednesday arrested three innocent villagers at Datkupya in Khagrachari, but
released them a few hours later, sources said.
The
victims were on their way back home from Maischari bazar along with other
villagers when the army arrested them.
The army
men stopped and searched them at Datkupya camp at 2 pm, sources added.
Later in
the evening local elders approached the camp commander and got them released.
The
arrested Jummas have been identified as Saikat Chakma (35) son of Reboti Ranjan
Chakma, Choton Chakma (32) son of Sona Mohan Chakma and Sonayon Chakma (32) son
of Indra Mohan Chakma – alll from Itchari Inner village.
