ANGAD CHAKMA, president
of Bagaichari unit of the Democratic Youth Forum, was arrested from Korengatoli
in Baghaichari on Thursday.
He was arrested at
around 6:30 pm by army while he was on his way back home from Karengatali bazaar
riding a motorbike.
A former member of
Bongoltoli Union Council and the current manager of Korengatali bazaar and,
Angad was stopped at a check-post near Korengatali army camp before the arrest.
According to sources,
he was taken to Baghaihat zone at midnight and later sent to Rangamati jail on
Friday morning.
He has been implicated
in a false case, sources added.
