The police and
Border Gard Bangladesh personnel arrested a Jumma villager suspected of being
involved in the murder of a Bangali settler in Gomati, Matiranga.
A joint team of
police and BGB from Matiranga on Tuesday (31 March) arrested Sharalal Tripura
(32) son of Late Mohanta Lal, a headman, from his home in Bama Gomati.
He was taken to
Matiraga police station after arrest.
The murdered
settler, Abul Hossain, succumbed to his injuries on 28 March at Chittagong
Medical College Hospital.
He was admitted
to hospital earlier on 26 March, after he had suffered injuries when he
attempted to attack a Jumma with a machete.
