A
LEADER of the United Peoples’ Democratic Front (UPDF), Ricoh Chakma, was
arrested on Wednesday night (22 April) at Guimara in Kharachari district.
Also
a former president of the Hill Students’ Council, Ricoh was on a Dhaka bound
night bus when he was arrested.
The
army stopped the bus carrying him at Guimara cantonment area around 10pm and got him off the bus.
They
then handed him over to the police in Matiranga.
He
has been shown arrested in two false cases, UPDF sources said.
Ricoh,
an organiser of UPDF Khagrachari district unit, was on way to Dhaka to attend
an exam to qualify for an advocate.
