Two PCP leader arrested in Guimara

TWO LEADERS of The Hill Students' Council, a front organisation of the UPDF, have been arrested by army in Guimara.

Samar Jyoti Chakma, president of PCP Guimara Thana Unit, and Donu Marma, deputy general secretary of PCP Guimara School committee, were arrested on Friday (15 May) while on their way back home after sticking up posters about the PCP's 20 May founding anniversary programme.

Samar, son of Ronjan Kumar Chakma, is a resident of Buddha Dhan Karbari Para and student of BSS first year in Khagrachari college while Donu Marma is a class ten student of Guimara High school.

Both of them have been sent to Khagrachari jail. A case has been filed against them under the Speedy Trial Act.
