THE army on Tuesday
night raided two houses in Lafaidong Para village under Manikchari Upazila,
Khagrachari district in an attempt to arrest Jumma villagers.
According to sources,
at 2am, a group of army personnel from Molongipara base camp under Manikchari
sub-zone broke into the houses of Aungsila Marma, 55, and Apruchai Marma and
searched for them.
Md. Hanif, 32, and Md.
Bashir, 28, two sons of Abdul Matin, who was killed in mysterious circumstances
at his home on 2 September, also accompanied the army.
The raid was aimed at
arresting Aungsila Marma and Apruchi Marma, who was implicated in the Abdul
Matin murder case.
