THE army has arrested a
Jumma villager named Dida Tripura from Sukanta Mahajonpara under Sindukchari
Union in Khagrachari district.
According to sources,
the 22-year-old, son of Indra Mohan Tripura, was arrested in the morning today,
Tuesday, March 22, from the house of Sudipta Tripura whom the army was looking
for.
A group of army
personnel from Sindukchari zone made the arrest. Earlier on March 17, in a
similar raid the army had searched three houses in the same village for Sudipta
Tripura, a local UPDF organizer in the area.
Dida, who worked at
Sudipta Tripura’s house as hired hand, has not been released till the filing of
this report at 6 pm.
