TWO houses were searched on Monday in Betchari Khamar Adam under
Kamalchari Union of Khagrachari Sadar Upazila.
According to sources, a group of army from Bhuochari sub zone
raided the village at 9 p. m. on Sunday (Nov 27) and conducted the search.
The houses searched belong to Dipon Chakma, a youth leader, and
Mintu Chakma, an activist of the Democratic Youth Forum.
Mintu Chakma was not available at the time and the soldiers broke
into his house before thoroughly searching it.
No incriminating materials were found during the search, sources
said.
The army
men were accompanied by two Bengali settlers from Bhuochari Rajshahi Tila – Md.
Mintu and Md. Alef.
