FOUR Jumma youths were arrested by army on
Wednesday in Guimara on suspicion of being involved in vandalizing vehicles
during a road blockade by UPDF.
They were arrested under Special Powers Act from
Budong Para at 8 pm when they were returning to their homes in Matiranga by
motorbikes.
The arrested have been identified as Noyon Jyoti
Tripura (18) son of Mon Mohan Tripura, Dogendra Tripura (18) son of Dhono Joy
Tripura, Tonisha Tripura (19) son of Sukol Tripura and Smriti Moy Tripura (19)
son of Indra Kumar Tripura – all from Bhokto Para village under Toikatang
Mouza, Matiranga.
Of them, Nayan Jyoti Tripura is a motorbike
driver.
After the arrest, they were first taken to
Guimara police station and then sent to Khagrachari jail the following day.
