THE MILITARY-backed Borkha Party
terrorists have kidnapped a poor Jumma villager in Bormachari under Laxmichari
Upazila in Khagrachari district.
Mogya Chakma, 45, son of Chibagala,
a resident of Kudukchari Bazar-para, was kidnapped from his home early in the
morning today.
He works as a watchman at the garden
of Md. Sharif in Fatikchari.
A group of armed terrorists
belonging to Borkha Party raided Kudukchari Bazar-para and took Mogya Chakma
away, a villager told chtnews quoting the victim’s family members.
‘The terrorists came from Gashbannya
area, where they have been camping for a couple of weeks.’ he added.
Gashbannya is situated in Khiram in
Fatikchari, an area falling outside of the CHT. A joint armed group of the
Borkha Party and the JSS (Santu) have been camping there for a couple of weeks
under the shelter of the Khiram army camp.
