A FORMER activist of
the United Peoples’ Democratic Front (UPDF), Mongol Chakma, 30, was shot dead
by unidentified miscreants in Golachari village under Bongoltoli Union of
Baghaichari Upazila, Rangamati district.
The incident took
place on Wednesday night, 15 October.
Mongol Chakma, son of
Tuloshi Chakma of village Milon Para of Machalong under Sajek Union, left the
UPDF couples of months ago and was living with his father-in-law in Golachri.
The miscreants,
believed to be hired goons of Santu Group, ran away after shooting him dead at
his father-in-law’s house about 11:30pm.
