A VILLAGER has been reportedly kidnapped by
military-backed Borkha Party terrorists in Laxmichari under Khagrachari.
The
victim, Kina Dhan Chakma, 45, son of late Chikon Chan Chakma is from North
Shuknachari village under Bormachari Union in Laxmichari Upazila.
He
was kidnapped at about 3pm yesterday,
Tuesday, from Roktochari area while on his way back home from Somurhat bazaar
in Kanchanpur, Fatikchari Upazila.
An
eyewitness told chtnews.com on
condition of anonymity that the Borkha terrorists had blindfolded him and led
him towards Bannyachola.
The
Borkha men often kidnap people to extort ransom.
With
this latest victim, the number of people kidnapped by Borkha Party since
mid-2009, when it was given birth to by an army officer in Laxmichari, has
reached 28.
