Jumma wounded by Bengali Settler in Ramgarh

Momo Marma, a Jumma villeger from Sonai Aga Village, was wounded when Md. Abdul Mannan struck him with a spade.

The incident happened at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, 18 January.

According to sourses, Momo Marma son of Sajai Marma was irrigating his paddy field after errecting a barrage on a nearby canal when Abdul Mannan from Lamku Para village destroyed it, leading to an altercation between them.

At one stage, Mannan struck Momo Marma on the head and legs with a spead,  injuring him seriously.

Later local people rescued Momo Marma and admitted him to Ramgarh Upazila health complex.

The police arrested Mannan in connection with this incident.
