A MEMBER of the Untied People's Democratic Front (UPDF) has been shot dead in Jurachari under Rangamati district, sources have said.
According to various sources, a group of armed militants belonging to Santu Larma faction of the JSS attacked a house in the village of Gilatoli in Jurachari Upazila at 7:10am today and shot dead Bijoy Singh Chakma, 31, son of Ratan Chakma.
He is from the village of Egujjyachari, Kaindya under Balukhali Union of Rangamati Sadar Upazila.
Alakesh Chakma, organiser of UPDF Rangamati District unit, has condemned the killing.
