Supreme Chakma, Joint Secretary of the Democratic Youth Forum, was arrested last night from Chittagong city.
A group of plainclothes detective police arrested him from Bot-toli rail station area in the city around 9:30pm while he and his co-activists were putting up UPDF posters about 20 – 21 July blockade of roads and waterways in the Chittagong Hill Tracts.
He has not been produced in the court yet and is reported to have been handed over to the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).
The DYF has condemned the arrest and demanded his unconditional release.
