AN activist of the M N Larma faction of the Jana Samhati Samiti has been shot dead by its rival Santu Larma faction in Langudu under Rangamati district.
The shooting took place at 6am today in the village of Ugudochari under Atarokchara Union in Langudu Upazila, according to sources.
Enjoy Chakma, 28, was at his father-in-law’s house when 5 – 6 armed men belonging to Santu Larma faction of the JSS broke into the house and shot him dead.
The shooting also left his 18 Month old son, Adarso Chakma, seriously injured. He sustained bullet wounds in one of his legs and has been admitted to Langudu Upazila hospital.
Rezaul Haq, offcier-in-charge of Langudu police station, said a police team led by SI Anjan had been sent to the place of occurrence to recover the dead body.
