THE army searched four
houses in Toimatai Rubber Plantation area 1 under Guimara Upazila in
Khagrachari district on Sunday night, 17 July.
According to sources,
a group of army personnel from Matiranga zone carried out the search during a
raid in the village.
The soldiers rousted
the inmates of the houses from bed and asked them about the UPDF activists.
The houses searched
belong to Suresh Baran Tripura (karbari or head of the village), 55, son of
late Nanda Kumar Tripura, Sudhi Ranjan Tripura, 35, son of late Purna Joy
Tripura, Apruchi Marma, 32, son of Atang Marma and his brother Apru Mong Marma,
27.
Nothing incriminating
was found during the search, the sources added.
