Reports say that the presence of army personnel at
Kalapani Lower Secondary School in Guimara Upazila, Khagrachhari District, has
caused panic among local residents.
According to sources, on Thursday afternoon (October
23, 2025), around 3:00 PM, a large group of soldiers arrived at the school in
five vehicles from the Guimara Region and took up position there.
Due to this sudden military presence, local people are
gripped by fear of possible harassment and oppression. Residents have expressed
concern that the army might conduct searches or raids on people’s homes at
night or at any time.
