Reports have emerged of army activity in various areas
of Ramgarh in Khagrachari, causing concern and anxiety among local residents,
according to people in the area.
Local sources said that at around 9:00 a.m. today,
Thursday (18 December 2025), a team of army personnel from the Batnatoli Camp
carried out operations along the Salda Para road, moving through Boro Belchari
Para and Choto Belchari Para.
Later, the soldiers remained for a long time at a
nearby globe garden (mango orchard) adjacent to Hachuk Para, observing the
surrounding area. From there, they proceeded toward Guja Para.
In addition, locals reported that army personnel also
stayed for some time in the Kalapani area. However, residents were unable to
confirm exactly where the soldiers are currently stationed.
The sudden presence and activity of the army in
various neighbourhoods has created concern and fear among the local population.
As of the time of filing this report, army activity in
the area was reported to be continuing.
