The army reportedly carried out a search at the house
of a man in Bhaibonechara village under No. 7 Union of Longadu Upazila in
Rangamati.
The person subjected to the search has been identified
as Pratibha Ranjan Chakma (65), son of Jamannya Chakma.
According to local sources, today, Friday (6 February
2026), at around 3:00 PM, a group of army personnel led by Captain Md. Raihan,
commander of the Bamey Longadu Army Camp, raided Bhaibonechara village and
conducted a search at the house of Pratibha Ranjan Chakma. During the search,
the soldiers reportedly ransacked clothes and household belongings, as stated
by members of the affected family.
However, it is learned that after failing to find
anything illegal, the army personnel later returned to their camp.
