Army patrol activity and a temporary deployment were
reported in Ramgarh, Khagrachari, on Sunday, March 1, 2026. Local residents
stated that soldiers questioned several individuals during the operation.
According to local sources, at around 10:30 a.m., a
team of army personnel left the Batanatoli Army Camp in three vehicles and
arrived at Gujapara Government Primary School. After staying there briefly, the
team moved to Achalong Para.
In Achalong Para, soldiers reportedly asked residents
about the presence of UPDF members and whether anyone had been contacted for
recruitment. They requested locals to provide any relevant information and
shared a contact phone number for communication. Residents were also informed
that the army would remain in the area for three to four days.
Later, the personnel returned to Gujapara Government
Primary School and took up position on the school premises. At the time of
filing this report, they were still stationed there.
Local residents further stated that on the night of
February 28, between 8:30 p.m. and midnight, another team from the same camp
conducted patrols from Gujapara to the Sudirkhil Bazaar area.
