THE army on Friday
arrested an innocent villager from Machalong in Sajek apparently on suspicion
of involvement with the burning down of a tourist microbus in the area on
Thursday.
According to sources,
Mono Shanti Chakma, 27, son of Rabindra Chakma, a resident of Machalong, went
to his plantation at Noi Nombor (Number 9) at 3:30pm when a group of army men
arrested him.
He was taken to
Machalong army camp after donning him with military uniform, the source added.
The military has been
carrying out massive operations in Sajek since the Thursday’s attack on the
microbus carrying an army officer and his family who were returning from a
tourist resort on Ruilui hill.
