The army is reportedly looking to establish an army
camp in the hills of Hajachari village, located in Ward 6 of Ghagra Union in
Kaukhali Upazila, Rangamati District.
This morning (Friday, September 19, 2025), a group of
40 army personnel extensively patrolled the Hajachari stream and the
surrounding hills in Hajachari village. Indicating a specific location in the
hills, they told bystanders that an army camp would be set up there.
It is noteworthy that on Tuesday (September 16, 2025),
a large number of army personnel arrived in 14 vehicles and took position at
Talukdarpara Army Camp and Ghilachari Government Primary School. After staying
there for two nights, they moved yesterday (September 18, 2025) to Panchari
High School.
This morning, one group of 40 soldiers patrolled
Hajachari village, while another group of 40 conducted patrols in Shuknachari
village. However, no reports of house searches were received. After completing
their patrol, the soldiers reportedly returned to Panchari High School.
