Residents have alleged that the presence of army personnel at a government primary school in Manikchhari Upazila, Khagrachhari District, has disrupted regular classroom activities and raised concerns among parents.

According to local sources, a group of 17 to 18 army personnel arrived at South Hafchhari Government Primary School on June 8 and have remained stationed there through June 14. Residents claim that the continued military presence on the school grounds has interfered with teaching and learning activities.

Parents in the area have expressed concern about the impact on their children's education, saying the situation has created uncertainty and disrupted the normal school environment.

Local residents also reported that an additional 35 to 40 army personnel are currently stationed in a mango orchard adjacent to Wakchhari Government Primary School in the Jamtala area.

Residents said the deployment of soldiers in and around educational institutions has created anxiety among community members, contributing to a climate of fear in the area.
