THE
UPDF activist who went missing after an armed attack in Dudhukchara today has
been found dead.
Pijush
Kumar Chakma, 35, had jumped into Dudhukchara stream when an armed gang loyal
to Santu Larma rained down bullets on UPDF men at a village shop.
He
was washed downstream and was found, a few hours after the attack, at the
confluence of Dudhukhcara and Logang rivers.
He
bore bullet wounds in the head.
Pijush
Kumar Chakma, also known as Hridoy, hailed from South Nalkata
in Panchari Upazila, Khagrachari district.
The
attack, which took place at about 7:45pm,
also left a UPDF supporter, Suniti Chakma, killed on the spot.
