TWO villagers including a Union
Council member have been kidnapped by military-backed Borkha Party terrorists
in Laxmichari, Khagrachari district.
A group of Borkha Party men led by
Colins Chakma and Dulal Chakma raided Bannyachola village on Tuesday night and
abducted Bana Kumar Chakma, 45, member of Ward No. 6 of Laxmichari Union
Council, and Birendra Chakma, 38, son of late Satyoban Chakma at gun point.
“The Borkha men came at about
10:30pm and snatched Bana Kumar and Birendra away, a neighbour of Bana Kumar
Chakma told chtnews.com citing his family members.
However he could not tell where they
had been taken.
He added that the Borkha terrorists
had also taken away a number of mobile phone sets from the villagers.
The Borkha Party has recently
stepped up its terrorist activities in Manikchari and Laxmichari Upazilas.
Last week they kidnapped 4 innocent
villagers from Manikchari.
