A 15-YEAR-OLD Jumma
girl has been subjected to an attempted rape by a Bengali settler youth in
Logang, Panchari.
The incident took
place in the morning today when the victim – a high school student (class ten) –
was on her way to school from her home in the village of Bauropara under
Logang Union.
When she reached a
lonely place near Logang bazaar a Bengali settler youth named Imon, 19,
attacked her.
However, the culprit
let go off her when she shouted aloud for help.
At school, she
narrated the incident to the school headmaster, who took immediate actions to
get him arrested.
And with the help of
the local Bengali elders Imon, son of Md Harun, was caught in the afternoon.
A teacher told chtnews.com that
they would hand him over to the police.
The Bengali settler
elders said they also wanted Imon to face justice.
