THE Border Guard Bangladesh arrested two Jummas from in front of Logang BGB camp on Saturday when they were on their way to Panchari Sadar on a motorbike.

The detained Jummas have been identified as Miton Chakma, 32, son of Birendra Chakma from Jagapara village under Chengi Union, and Hemanta Chakma, 35, son of Promod Chandra Chakma from Shanti Tila village in Dhudhukchara under Logang Union.

The BGB stopped them when they reached their camp, took them inside and tortured them severely.

The following day the BGB placed guns in their hands and then handed them over to the police after keeping them more than 24 hours in its custody.

A case has been filed against them for ‘possessing illegal weapons’.
